Purpose

ARTWORKinternational, Inc. was created to address the need for development, management and promotion for visual artists and art-related businesses. The company has grown to provide this expertise to organizations, publications, and artists worldwide. Since its inception ARTWORKinternational, Inc. has worked directly with over 6,000 contemporary art venues, globally, on behalf of our clients.

Our mission is to create a global presence for visual artists. We aim to realize each client's ultimate career potential. The individual's needs inform our career development strategy, commencing with a customized direction for each client. Because each client is distinct, the nature of services provided varies in accordance with the artist. Career development strategies are provided to the client as an itemized trajectory on an annual basis. A consultation, between the artist and ARTWORKinternational, Inc., establishes each client’s specific objectives.

Founder's Resume.

Samantha Paige Furgason has been a resident of Santa Fe, New Mexico for over three decades and has held prominent positions in the contemporary art market, as well she has headed several curatorial projects in the United States and Canada. In addition, Ms. Furgason has worked directly with national and international art publications in the areas of freelance writing, consultation and art direction.

Ms. Furgason founded ARTWORKinternational, Inc. in 1999 after leaving her position as Co-Director of Conlon Siegal Galleries in Santa Fe, New Mexico. ARTWORKinternational, Inc. results from over two decades of Ms. Furgason's work in the contemporary art market. For artists and art-related organizations internationally, Ms. Furgason’s company now provides the expertise, contacts and excellence she gained as a professional in the arts. ARTWORKinternational, Inc. provides services ranging from grant writing and funding research to placement in national and international residencies, corporate collections, museums, and commercial venues. Previously, in her work with Detours of Santa Fe, Ms. Furgason led tours covering the arts, dealing in various genres of artwork, traditional to contemporary edge. The tour groups ranged in size from 12 to 150 people, establishing her reputation as an informed lecturer on regional, national and international artwork and artists.

In December of 2005 Ms. Furgason traveled to China. During her month-long visit she lectured on the Art of Art Promotion at Xiamen University, specifically the Chinese European Cultural Center. A similar presentation was delivered to the National Museum of Women in the Arts, Washington, DC in 2004.

Since 2003 Ms. Furgason has served as Promotional Chair for the New Mexico Museum of Art, Santa Fe, New Mexico, Friends of Contemporary Art (FOCA).
